On January 6, 2019, at the House of the National Communities in Vilnius, members of the Moldovan diaspora from Lithuania attended the annual reception on the occasion of the winter holidays and Christmas celebrations. The festive event was co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Vilnius in cooperation with the Association of the Romanian Language and Culture ”Dacia”.

The program included the interpretation of Christmas carols, stories about winter traditions, literary games and riddles for children, being an excellent opportunity to discuss topics of common interest, as well as to taste national dishes, sweets and drinks provided by the Embassy and diaspora members.

Ambassador Serghei Mihov congratulated the participants on the beautiful occasion of winter holidays, highlighting that the celebration in 2019 of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Association ”Dacia” will be an important impetus for the accomplishment of the planned actions aimed at preserving and promoting the customs, traditions and national culture.
