Visas

Visas for the R. of Moldova

 

On 08 June 2006 the Moldovan Parliament adopted the Law no. 151- XVI on the abolition of visa regime for citizens of member states of the European Union , U.S. , Canada , Norway , Iceland , Swiss Confederation and Japan since January 1, 2007 . According to Article 1 of the Law, citizens of the mentioned entities do not need a visa to enter the territory of the R. of Moldova. In accordance with Article 7 of the Law on entry and exit from the Republic of Moldova, the period of stay for citizens of countries not requiring visas should not exceed 90 days for 6 months after first crossing the border of the R. of Moldova. Citizens will need a passport to travel abroad, valid at least three months from the date of entry into the country.

 

Citizens of countries that require a visa has to submit an application for visa. Applicants will submit the following documents:

 

  1. Passport (children not admited). The passport must be valid at least three months from the expiry date of the requested visa.
  2. Visa application form completed and signed. Faxes will not be accepted.
  3. One picture for documents (3.5 x 4.5 cm ) .
  4. Payment of consular fees.
  5. Invitation, issued by the Bureau of Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the R. of Moldova.

Note : For children under 18 the visa is issued free.

 

Note : The Embassy does not accept personal checks or cash - payment will be made by bank transfer to the account of the Embassy, only in Euros.

Customs rules

 

Individuals have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Moldova objects of cultural heritage only if they present to the Customs Service:

 

  1. the authorization issued by the competent authority of the sending state to certify the origin, ownership and purpose of the valuable items shipped abroad,
  2. the compliance with the economic policy of the Republic of Moldova,
  3. the certificate confirming the payment of import duties,
  4. the filled customs declaration.

 

Where customs authorities have suspicions that the transported object presents cultural value, and the individual refutes this, the passage of the object will be allowed, provided that the subsequent presentation of the authorization issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Moldova that will determine the cost and value of cultural heritage.

 

Individuals may not remove from the territory of Moldova objects with cultural value. Other objects of value in art, literature, science, culture and religion can be removed from the territory of Moldova if they are accompanied by the authorization issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, by which is specified the cost of the object and confirmed that it does not present cultural value.

(*) Will be presented to customs:
(1) documents confirming the introduction of money in Moldova;
(2) and / or permission to remove money from Moldova, issued by licensed banks;
(3) and / or authorization to remove money from Moldova, issued by the National Bank of Moldova.

 

Introducing in the Republic of Moldova of national currency cash and cash / travelers checks in foreign currency is not limited.

 

Individuals are required to declare in writing to customs amounts that exceed 10.000 Euro (or equivalent) per person / trip.

Residence and work permits

 

Foreign citizens and stateless persons who want to engage in employment in the Republic of Moldova must obtain work permit from the National Agency for Employment of the Ministry of Economy. To grant the right to work, the employer or its legal representative shall submit to the National Agency for Employment the following documents:

 

  1. the demarche of the company / organization / institution to the National Agency for Employment;
  2. the questionnaire-application of the immigrant worker;
  3. the copy on favorable opinion issued by the National Agency for Employment;
  4. copies of constituent documents of the company / organization / institution (certificate of registration of the company, a recent extract from the State Register of enterprises, the State Register of non-governmental organizations, or work authorization / license, if applicable);
  5. documents confirming the activity of the company (certificate from the Tax Inspectorate on the lack of arrears to the national public budget, a copy of the financial report for the last period of management under the law in force);
  6. the individual employment contract, in the original;
  7. the national identity card of the foreign citizen or the identification card of the stateless person, with mentions relating to the crossing of the state border and its copy;
  8. the copy of the study document or other document confirming the qualification of the specialist invited to work, translated in the Moldovan language, legalized or with apostil;
  9. the standard medical certificate and the medical certificate confirming the absence of HIV / AIDS in the original;
  10. the document confirming the provision with rental space for the period requested (the owner’s declaration / rental agreement / sale-purchase contract);
  11. a color photograph, 50 × 60 mm, on white background;
  12. the criminal record from the country of origin, translated in the Moldovan language, legalized or with apostil.

 

To extend the right to work for a new term, the employer or its legal representative shall submit to the National Agency for Employment the following documents:

 

  1. the medical certificate on state of health and medical test results for HIV / AIDS, in original,
  2. the copy of the passport and passport Annex containing the visa with valid term,
  3. a copy of the identification card of the spouse,
  4. a copy of the marriage or divorce certificates,
  5. the argued opinion of the National Agency for Employment (for those who come to work),
  6. a copy of the employment contract for immigrants who come to work,
  7. authenticated notarized consent of the person granting the housing,
  8. a copy of the study document,
  9. 3 photos, 5x6 mm,
  10. the receipt confirming the payment of the state fee.

 

Subsequently obtaining the certificate of immigration, the foreign citizen or stateless person shall conclude his/her residence permit at the Ministry of Information Development.

 

The residence permit is issued under the following documents:

 

Residence permit on family grounds:

 

  1. the national passport, in original,
  2. the certificate of immigration, in original,
  3. a copy of the marriage certificate,
  4. the birth certificate of children up to 18 years, a copy,
  5. the ID of the spouse, a copy,
  6. the medical test for HIV / AIDS, a copy,
  7. rental contract endorsed by the notary, a copy,
  8. the medical certificate on the blood group.

 

Residence permit for employment:

 

  1. the medical certificate on the state of health and results of HIV / AIDS antibodies test (the original),
  2. the copy of the passport and passport Annex + stamp of recording to the DVP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and visa with valid term,
  3. a copy of the marriage (divorce) certificates,
  4. the ID of the spouse, a copy,
  5. the argued opinion of the Employment Office,
  6. a copy of the employment contract,
  7. written consent of the person granting the housing, signed notarized,
  8. a copy of the study document, specialty,
  9. 3 photos 5x6,
  10. the receipt confirming the payment of the state fee.
