February 28, 2019, Vilnius - Enhancement of the Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation in the field of transport and communications have been discussed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Vilnius, Sergei Mihov, with the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Rokas Masiulis.

During the meeting, officials agreed on the need to capitalize the existing potential of cooperation in this sector, being highlighted the interest of the Republic of Moldova to further take over the good practices and exchange of experience in the field of road, maritime, railway and air transport.

Ambassador Sergei Mihov reiterated the gratitude of the authorities from Chisinau for the financial and technical assistance provided to our country, especially for accomplishing the missions of the Lithuanian experts to the Republic of Moldova and the study visits to Lithuania organized for our national experts in the framework of implementation of the Sustainable Development Assistance Project entitled "Safe and Interoperable Transport System in the Republic of Moldova".

In his turn, Minister Rokas Masiulis confirmed the availability of the Lithuanian part to deepen the Moldovan-Lithuanian relations of sectoral cooperation and to support the Republic of Moldova in implementing the provisions of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement in the field of transport and communications.
