Ambassador Sergei Mihov had a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalius Čekuolis

January 30, 2020, Vilnius - Intensification of the Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation in various areas of common interest and the bilateral agenda for 2020 were discussed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Vilnius, Sergei Mihov, with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalius Čekuolis.
During the meeting, interlocutors had an exchange of views regarding the current state and prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation between the two states, the agenda of reforms of the Government from Chisinau in key areas such as the justice sector and fight against corruption, fulfillment of the commitments assumed by the Association Agreement Moldova-EU, as well as the latest developments in the settlement process of the Transnistrian conflict.
Ambassador Sergei Mihov, also, expressed the gratitude of the Chisinau authorities for the continuous assistance provided to the Republic of Moldova by the Vilnius authorities in implementing the structural reforms at the national level, through providing the development assistance and necessary expertise.
In his turn, Deputy Minister Dalius Čekuolis reiterated the openness of the Government of Lithuania to continue the support for the Republic of Moldova throughout its European path, including by implementing assistance projects under the development cooperation program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
